CARY, N.C. – You’re  invited to see a replica of the Olympic Torch on Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17, 2008, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the West Regional Library in Cary.

Patrons will also have a chance to make their own Olympic torches on Saturday, August 16, at 10:30 a.m.

Computer-maker Lenovo, based in Morrisville and Beijing, was chosen among more than 300 competitors to design the 2008 Olympic torch. The torch, made of polished aluminum-magnesium alloy, is about 28 inches tall and weighs just over two pounds.
